Non-Duality Workshops take place on the first Sunday of the month.

Attendees are encouraged to share their experiences and insights of the non-dual philosophy, calling on teaching from whichever source is found to be of value. Sometimes a topic is selected to focus discussion but no extensive theory is offered leaving attendees to speak from their own awareness at the time. The emphasis is for the simple principles to be restated and appreciated in the company of like-minded people. Many who have shared these principles find they have universal application. It is not a question of getting somewhere but realizing who we already are; it is not a state of mind but a transcending of mind.

Non Members of the Society are welcome to attend the meetings which are found to be of particular help to those who have spent some time investigating the non-dual concepts previously and wish to test their understanding with others. Participants often find that the discussions give them greater meaning within their lives and inclusivity in society.

About Rupert Spira

From an early age, Rupert Spira was deeply interested in the nature of reality and the source of lasting peace and happiness. At the age of seventeen he learnt to meditate, and began studying and practicing the teachings of the classical Advaita Vedanta tradition under the guidance of Dr. Francis Roles and Shantananda Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of the north of India, which he continued for the next twenty years. During this time he immersed himself in the teachings of P.D.Ouspensky, Krishnamurti, Rumi, Ramana Maharshi, Nisargadatta and Robert Adams, until he met his teacher, Francis Lucille, in 1997. Rupert has written several books and holds regular meetings and retreats online, as well as in Europe and the United States.

About The Study Society

The Study Society has been a centre for non-duality for over 70 years. Originally a members based organisation, TSS became a charity in 2009. Today, its beautiful home at Colet House in West London is open to all who wish to learn and share non-dual teachings designed to enhance inner peace. TSS publishes books and offers practical ways to connect with the heart through Advaita meditation, member discussion groups, Mevlevi Turning (whirling dervishes), Rumi poetry gatherings, Kirtan chanting, Yoga and Chi Gung. The charity also offers room hire at Colet to kindred spirits who share the charity’s values of inclusivity, equity, transparency and kindness

Rupert Spira is very kindly offering this meeting free of charge to our charity
