Spiritual Retreat

Our next Study Society retreat at Fintry near Godalming. All Study Society members and non-members are warmly invited to attend, although places are strictly limited to 16 residents and 5 non-residents due to the capacity of the venue. There will be three meditation periods a day and a varied programme of study and reflection in the restful atmosphere of Fintry and its extensive grounds.

The term “Ayurveda” combines the Sanskrit words ayur (life) and veda (science or knowledge). Ayurvedic medicine, as practiced in India, is one of the oldest systems of medicine in the world. Gandharva veda is a Vedic science on the influence of sound and music.From Sanskrit, Gandharva - “skilled singer” or “master of music” & veda - “knowledge” or “wisdom”.
