A Special Evening with Rupert Spira hosted by The Study Society

October 5th, 18:00 - 20:00 (on Zoom)

‘Experience is not inherently divided into one part that experiences and another that is experienced. It is one indivisible, unnameable, intimate whole. Love and beauty are the names that are given to experience when this intimacy is known and felt. They are the natural condition of all experience, not the particular condition of some experience.’

-Rupert Spira

About Rupert Spira

From an early age, Rupert Spira was deeply interested in the nature of reality and the source of lasting peace and happiness. At the age of seventeen he learnt to meditate, and began studying and practicing the teachings of the classical Advaita Vedanta tradition under the guidance of Dr. Francis Roles and Shantananda Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of the north of India, which he continued for the next twenty years. During this time he immersed himself in the teachings of P.D.Ouspensky, Krishnamurti, Rumi, Ramana Maharshi, Nisargadatta and Robert Adams, until he met his teacher, Francis Lucille, in 1997. Rupert has written several books and holds regular meetings and retreats online, as well as in Europe and the United States.

About The Study Society

The Study Society has been a centre for non-duality for over 70 years. Originally a members based organisation, TSS became a charity in 2009. Today, its beautiful home at Colet House in West London is open to all who wish to learn and share non-dual teachings designed to enhance inner peace. TSS publishes books and offers practical ways to connect with the heart through Advaita meditation, member discussion groups, Mevlevi Turning (whirling dervishes), Rumi poetry gatherings, Kirtan chanting, Yoga and Chi Gung. The charity also offers room hire at Colet to kindred spirits who share the charity’s values of inclusivity, equity, transparency and kindness
